my fave clothing style :the fanatism in cosplay costumes

i love the manga, naruto, but to be as expressive as these people would be to far to go.i admire their fanatism over the characters by making some cosplay costumes, since they were adults and not children.however,i must admit some of the costumes indeed caught my eyes, maybe to make it  for myself, although maybe i need to modify it to look more nice and casual.

newest sticker of the company 2009

my favorite fashion brand :8. volcom

Volcom is a clothing manufacturer. Based in Costa Mesa, California, it was founded in 1991 by Richard "Wooly" Woolcott and Tucker "T-Dawg" Hall. The company caters to the surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding markets, born out of the founders' own experiences with these sports. In April 2005, the Company changed its name to Volcom, Inc. On June 29, 2005, Volcom Inc. made an initial public offering on NASDAQ, pricing 4.69 million shares at $19 a share and raising $89 million. The underwriters of the IPO were Wachovia Securities, D.A. Davidson and Piper Jaffray.

Volcom is known for its elaborate uses of the "stone" logo pictured on the right and its contradictive motto "Youth Against Establishment". It is also actively involved in a campaign that it calls "Let the Kids Ride Free." Volcom's record label is called Volcom Entertainment.

In early 2008, Volcom made its first acquisition, taking ownership of sunglasses brand Electric Visual. Transworld Business's Joshua Hunter reported on January 16th 2008 that "The oldest rumor in the industry came to fruition in the early hours of the morning as news hit the wire that Volcom, Inc. has reached an agreement with Electric Visual to acquire the brand for $25.25 Million in cash upon closing of the deal." click here for more info

comment :i really like the style, although its in the same segment as quiksilver and billabong.

Moving Announcements

In an age of text messages and mass e-mails, unfortunately there seems to be a lack of pretty correspondence circulating the regular mail. Don't get me wrong. I embrace electronic communication whole-heartedly but there is something about opening the mailbox and seeing something handwritten or pretty among the boring bills and the grocery ads. I thought a moving announcement would be the perfect excuse to create something people would be excited to see in their mailbox. I developed the wording and the basic layout but I was having trouble with the illustration. Enter graphic designer Karisa Winkel* of Pretty Handsome Paper. She helped me execute my vision perfectly and was also a pleasure to work with! After I sent her some (very) rough drawings of what I had in mind, she created a PDF file with four announcements per page which I then printed onto card stock from my desktop printer. I glued a olive-y/lime green, textured card stock to the back of the announcement to give it a little more weight, cut them apart with my paper cutter and mailed them as postcards to save money on postage. Of course I spent too much time and money, but I say it was worth it. I also say two thumbs up for pretty correspondence!

*P.S. I don't know Karisa personally but several years ago I was fortunate to receive a beautiful wedding invitation she had designed. It was my first introduction to letterpress printing and I have loved her work (and letterpress) ever since. Although she specializes in wedding correspondence, she also gladly accepts smaller design jobs (like my moving announcement) and will also work within your budget. If you need a creative solution, I highly recommend!Source URL: http://science-logic.blogspot.com/2009/06/

my life in fashion : 7.in the name of friendship

part 7 : in the name of friendship.

and so i didn't work for mr.G in a very long time, since he finally decided to leave all behind and turned himself as a meditation teacher after converted into buddhist.i tried to pursuade him but it was useless.so i regret myself for not having a longer time to learn more about fashion experiences from him.and so,i decided to rest for a while before looking for another new job.while i was taking my time, my ex colleague asked me to help him in his own project and his plan in raising a new office.i'd helped him though sometimes i felt like being underestimated by his society.its a well-known habit for his ethnic to do so.as a friend i even agreed to give discount on my payment, since he was just starting his business.and so i worked for him for couple of years until one day they came.

molly and her boyfriend.they're from one country somewhere in Europe.they wanted to look for a place where they could find a source of selling thing for their shop, especially the clothes. as most of people here in my country assumed that foreigner always came with a bunch of big money bags with them, thats how my boss a.k.a my friend and his friends saw them.so, when my boss found out that they weren't as mr.G used to be,he got dissapointed and started neglecting them, while he should've helped them.instead he handed them over to me to handle and took care of them.so, in the beginning,my intention was purely doing what my boss told me to do,but as we're getting to know each other better,we're getting closer, especially with molly,i want to help her as a friend.i felt sorry for her to be cheated several time by some unresponsible people,so i decided to help her based on our friendship.i helped her as far as i know by my knowledge in this field.but she refused to take my help freely, she wanted me to accept her sign of gratitude by taking some fee from her. i insisted in refusing it and she also insisted in giving it to me. she even wanted to let my boss know about us,but i told her no,coz i somehow knew how his reaction would be towards us.

BEAUTIFUL AMISHA PATEL

Can you guess where cutie Amisha Patel loves to spend her holidays? It is not some beach or snow-clad mountains. She prefers visiting historical places. She had also done a project thesis on India’s ancient temples, forts and palaces while studying in USA.

Currently, Amisha is shooting for Priyadarshan’s movie ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’ in Rajasthan, and when her schedules permit her she takes out time to visit the state’s historical places.

Recently, Amisha took out time to visit the famous Raj Palace in Jaipur and she was reportedly very impressed by the palace’s architecture, its furniture, chandeliers, silverware and other works of arts. In fact, Amisha is quite well versed with the history of the palace, which the daughter of the King of the royal family of Chomu inherited from her father.

Amisha says her most memorable vacation was in Egypt when she visited the great pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and many ancient Egyptian temples alongside river Nile.
