Nepali private sector to support highest-altitude cabinet meeting

KATHMANDU, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Nepali private sector is expected to spend approximately 6 million Nepali rupees (some 81,000 U.S. dollars) for the highest-altitude cabinet meeting to be held at Gorakshep near Mt. Everest (Qomolangma) Base Camp on Friday.
According to Monday's myrepublica.com, several institutions like Everest Summitteers' Association, Nepal Mountaineering Association, Trekking Agents' Association of Nepal, Expedition Operators' Association, Himalayan Rescue Association, 14 domestic airlines operating in Nepal, and a few other agencies have joined hands with National Trust for Nature Conservation to generate the fund for the historic cabinet meeting.
Suman Pandey, the coordinator from the private sector's side, was quoted by the website as saying that the cost has gone up as two choppers will be mobilized for aerial survey for transportation and emergency evacuation.
"We have to ensure safe movement, navigation, landing and takeoff of the VIPs and the accompanying delegates," Pandey said at a press conference here on Sunday.
Pandey informed that a doctors' team fully equipped with regulators and oxygen cylinders will be placed there to ensure health safety and to take care of emergency cases.
He added weather monitoring for the event is on in coordination with the weather bureau. "We can safely say that the weather is going to be clear for at least another 10 days. But constant monitoring is on," Pandey said, adding, "The situation is quite safe and we have enough medical back-up."
The cabinet meeting of the Nepali government to be presided by Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal on the laps of the majestic Himalayas is a step further to express its commitments to safeguard the environmental sanctity of the Himalayas for the common interest of local to global communities.
The meeting, which will be held at the sand ground at Gorakshepat the height of approximately 5,164 meters, where table and chairs will be placed, is said to last for 20 minutes. Everest Base Camp is two hours' trek from Gorakshep.

my life in fashion :fashion fused with imagination

lately i feel very happy, since now i can mix my hobby with my work,so it'd become less boring than before.i found my long lost world and still i can continue with my current job, clothes designing.
i realize that my effort of staring at the computer for hours and browsing through the net is worth a lot,i gain many new friends,i can start doing my old hobbies again and share it to the world, and also more knowledge from everything new i found in there.

so,i'll try to do my best in doing those i love and work.im glad truly glad or actually happier than ever, this is a good thing rather than thinking some losers around me who do nothing but complain about life and other people, instead of start to put a plester in their mouth once and for all.im happy my new friends encouraged me over and over again to be strong and have faith in my dreams, coz there's none of the impossibilities for God,as long as we believe.although personally i didn't really know them, but im glad i've met such kind and nice people.ganbaro!

keep drawing, keep dreaming, keep wishing and keep working to make them all come true...

Hiba Ali: Fresh and Cute Face - New Pakistani Actress

'Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and although I don't have many traditions, one I've started with the boys is to read this book, 'Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving. I originally acquired the book many years ago at a children's book fair where the author was signing copies. It is a very clever little book written to the same rhythm of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. T1he illustrations are equally as clever and include spoofs on a few famous paintings including American Gothic and Van Gough's Starry Night. Anyway, I just thought I'd share a little sample here:

The book begins with a class field trip to a Turkey Farm where the kids meet Farmer MacNugget and his slew of feathered friends:

The children fall in love with the turkeys and are somewhat mortified when they find out the turkeys are to be butchered for Thanksgiving the following day:

The children then devise a plan to rescue the turkeys from their horrible fate by sneaking them home on the bus:
The book concludes with each family enjoying Thanksgiving with a turkey as a guest at the table (instead of as the meal on the table):

Anyway, my description doesn't do the book justice. It is a really cute book that you should check out when you get the chance. Also, I should note that while the book advocates having a vegetarian Thanksgiving, I will definitely be eating turkey tomorrow, and lots of it.

    Happy Thanksgiving!
